Ester joined the District in September 2016 entering as our Customer Service Representative. Her customer service professionalism, her bilingual communication skills, dedication and leadership ability transcended this role and in September 2017 Ester was promoted to Accounts Clerk overseeing the District’s finances.

In January 2021 Ester was promoted to Water Utility Specialist in which her responsibilities increased to a wider variety of mission-critical duties. Whilst continuing to supervise the District’s finances she also provides oversight of Customer Service and assistance in the Operations department.

In April 2023, Ester continued to advance her career at the District by being promoted to Management Analyst. In this position, Ester applys her breadth of knowledge, skills and abilities throughout the District functions and programs, increasing the District's efficacy moving forward.

Ester has been a long-time resident of Aromas and grew up in our community. Ester graduated from Heald Business College in Accounting in April of 2003. She continues to be an important asset to AWD, and wanted to gain a deeper understanding of water system operations, so she acquired her water operator license in 2020. Ester achieved her Water Distribution Operator Grade D1 certificate from State Water Resources Control Board, then in September 2021 as well as becoming a Certified Backflow Tester.
